Softball Game Preview: Bradshaw Christian Pride vs. Union Mine Diamondbacks

Bradshaw Christian is 1-9 against Union Mine since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pride will be playing in front of their home fans against the Diamondbacks at 4:00 p.m. Union Mine took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bradshaw Christian, who comes in off a win.

Bradshaw Christian will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Galt on Tuesday. The Pride blew past the Warriors 12-2. The Pride haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lexi Ortiz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Rios, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Argonaut hit Union Mine with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Diamondbacks lost 8-1 to the Mustangs. The Diamondbacks haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Union Mine's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bradshaw Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1.
