Manheim Township hadn't done well against Hempfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Blue Streaks walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Black Knights. This was a revenge game for the Blue Streaks: when they faced off against the Black Knights on April 2nd, they had to take a 10-1 defeat.

The win made it two in a row for Manheim Township and bumps their season record up to 7-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Hempfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Manheim Township will square off against Warwick at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Blue Streaks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hempfield, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cedar Crest at 4:15 p.m. The Black Knights are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
