Wando waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Goose Creek Gators as they made off with a 9-1 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-0 win on Tuesday.

Evan Johnson looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady Gold, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Downing, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Wando hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goose Creek struck out nine times.

Wando's record now sits at 15-8. As for Goose Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14-2 record this season.
