Baseball Game Preview: North Newton Spartans vs. Faith Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, North Newton will face off against Faith Christian. The Spartans will face off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

North Newton's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Faith Christian with a sharp 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

North Newton got a great performance from Nick Bartrom as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Bartrom has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
