Basketball Recap: Cypress Creek Comes Up Short

Cypress Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Cypress Falls Eagles at home by a 58-41 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Eagles are ranked 92nd).

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Cypress Falls, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Cypress Creek will take on Cypress Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Creek is facing Cypress Ridge at the right time seeing as Cypress Ridge is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Cypress Falls, they will face off against Northbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Falls knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Northbrook likes a good challenge.
