Recap: Manor Mustangs vs. Currituck County Knights
The Manor Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 58-46 to Currituck County. Manor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Currituck County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.
Currituck County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamie Dance out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Dance posted two or more blocks. Malcolm Cowell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Manor has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Currituck County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Manor on the road again on Wednesday and play against Norcom at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Currituck County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
