Softball Recap: Church Point Bears vs. North Vermilion Patriots

Church Point extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Vermilion Patriots. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

Kaylee Henry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Madeline Broce, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

On North Vermilion's side, the team relied heavily on Zoe' Harrington, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Charpentier, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
