After losing to Dubuque Senior the last time they met, Waterloo West decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wahawks came out on top against the Rams by a score of 34-27 on Friday. The game was the first time the Wahawks have beaten the Rams on their field since August 25, 2017.

Waterloo West has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 42.0 points this season. As for Dubuque Senior, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterloo West will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Hempstead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dubuque Senior, they will take on Cedar Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season.
