League recap: Bell throws longest pass in league this season for Duluth

AAAAAA Region 7 recap September 4, 2013

Thad Bell and Jamyest Williams provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Berkmar. The longest such play in AAAAAA Region 7 this season, the connection resulted in 57 yards.

Mill Creek was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to third in the league. The Hawks beat Dacula 41-28 earlier in the week.

Theo Burnette was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 41 yards on 10 carries as Duluth lost to the Patriots.

Williams was the best receiver in AAAAAA Region 7 this week as the Wildcats fell to Berkmar. Williams tallied 6 receptions for 65 yards. Devin Terry helped Duluth's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 36 yards.

Hayden Sphire put up the best numbers through the air as North Gwinnett beat Grayson. He had a total of 13 completions for 136 yards. Sphire's favorite target this week was Daniel Imatorbhebhe, who caught 5 passes for 59 yards.

Peachtree Ridge was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Parkview. The Lions came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 34 last week.
