Albion has gone a perfect 10-0 against Barker recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Purple Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Albion is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Newfane 13-1 on Saturday. The Purple Eagles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024 (when they won 14-2).

Nathan Gibson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Albion got a massive performance out of Elliott Trapiss, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Kaiden Froman was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Barker nor Newfane made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Bulldogs never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
The result came thanks to Jackson Prynn's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. Barker is undefeated when Prynn allows three or fewer hits, but 0-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Barker's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Monaco, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Tristen Garcia also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Albion's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Barker, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Everything went Albion's way against Barker in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Albion made off with a 14-2 victory. Will the Purple Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
