Football Recap: St. Amant's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

St. Amant lost against Dutchtown back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gators took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Griffins. The Gators were up 28-14 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Amant fell to 4-1. As for Dutchtown, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Amant will face off against Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Dutchtown, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Denham Springs at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
