Baseball Recap: Fredericktown Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Fredericktown had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 5-1 to the North Union Wildcats. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Fredericktown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Mull, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Coming up, Fredericktown will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Elgin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Union, they will head out on the road to take on Mt. Gilead at 12:01 p.m. on Saturday.
