Southern Connecticut Division I - East recap Nov. 7, 2012

Cheshire took down East Haven 39-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Wilbur Cross made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,450 from 10,558. The improvement came about via a 47-12 victory over the Governors last week.

Wilbur Cross' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Donte Skinner threw for 171 yards and Ysaan Frazier had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Isiah Daluz chipped in 57 yards. Tyvon Bradley helped Wilbur Cross' passing attack out by catching two balls for 59 yards.

John Acquavita's team's Skinner and Frazier have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Southern Connecticut Division I - East in both passing and receiving yards. Skinner has thrown for 483 yards this season, while Frazier, a 5-foot-6 receiver, has 18 catches for 295 yards. Notre Dame's Cameron Tucker leads the league in rushing yards with 1275.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when West Haven takes on the Governors. The Blue Devils are currently in second, while Wilbur Cross is in fifth.

West Haven led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on the Governors.
