Volleyball Game Preview: Wheaton Academy Warriors vs. St. Francis Spartans

Wheaton Academy hasn't had much luck against St. Francis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will take on the Spartans at 6:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Wheaton Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Aurora Christian and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, St. Francis posted their closest victory since October 4th on Monday. They skirted past Riverside-Brookfield 2-1. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was St. Francis who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 18-25, 25-21.

Wheaton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-15. As for St. Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 20-12.

Wheaton Academy couldn't quite get it done against St. Francis in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
