Volleyball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Beats Osage City for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Perry-Lecompton came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Osage City Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Kaws also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Macie Corcoran paced Perry-Lecompton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Corcoran got some help from Emmy Reed and her 35 assists. Finally, Addie Hoover kept Perry-Lecompton's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Osage City's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Allison Sloop, who had ten digs and one assist, and Kaelyn Boss, who had 11 kills and five digs.

Perry-Lecompton's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Osage City, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Perry-Lecompton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Maranatha Christian Academy on the 27th. As for Osage City, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Paola on the 27th.
