Soccer Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Summit

Summit had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the eight-goal drubbing they dealt Mountain View on Tuesday. The Storm's defense stepped up to hand the Cougars an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Summit, who have now won four matchups by five goals or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Summit's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matches. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit will host Ridgeview at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Mountain View, they will be playing at home against Crook County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
