Baseball Recap: Episcopal Maroon vs. Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop O'Connell, Episcopal was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions. The win was some much needed relief for the Maroon as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Truman Albright was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hill Porter, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
The victory got Episcopal back to even at 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Episcopal will face off against Bullis at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bell at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
