Recap: Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats vs. Delaware Academy Bulldogs
The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats were the 48-39 winner over the Delaware Academy Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Bainbridge-Guilford took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Delaware Academy on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Bainbridge-Guilford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Delaware Academy is ranked 92nd).
Bainbridge-Guilford's loss came despite strong showings from Johnna Henderson and Jayslin Henderson. Henderson scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Henderson scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Mayo, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Bainbridge-Guilford and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Delaware Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Bainbridge-Guilford will head out on the road to face off against Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Walton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Delaware Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Deposit-Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
