Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Old Forge

Old Forge came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Dunmore Bucks get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

TJ DiMattia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

DiMattia wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Iacavazzi, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Old Forge pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dunmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
