Baseball Recap: Gulf Comes Up Short

Gulf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hudson Cobras, falling 9-2. If the Buccaneers were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Cobras when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gulf saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Nenno, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Gulf's record now sits at 6-9. As for Hudson, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-11.

Coming up, Gulf will challenge River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hudson, they will face off against Weeki Wachee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
