Basketball Game Preview: Lake Placid Dragons vs. Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds

The Lake Placid Dragons will challenge the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds on Monday. Lake Placid is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Lake Placid was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-42 to Mulberry.

Despite their defeat, Lake Placid saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dj Bullard, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 17 boards, was perhaps the best of all. Bullard has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Baker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln Park Academy). In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 65-64 win over Frostproof. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Greyhounds considering their 17-point performance the contest before.

Lincoln Park Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Lake Placid, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.
