Baseball Recap: Mize Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mize couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Puckett Wolves by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Trey Myers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Mize's loss dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Puckett, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

While Mize had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Tuesday.
