Softball Recap: Kettle Moraine Beats Mukwonago for Their Third Straight Victory

Kettle Moraine waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Mukwonago Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lasers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Briella Hack made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Hack wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Casey Navarro, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Jenna Keller was another, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Kettle Moraine pushed their record up to 4-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mukwonago, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Kettle Moraine will be playing in front of their home fans against Waukesha West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mukwonago, they will venture away from home to square off against Greendale at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season.
