St. Patrick had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the East Central Hornets. The two-run effort marked the Fighting Irish's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jacob Alexander made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

St. Patrick's record is now 8-3. As for East Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

St. Patrick has already played their next match, a 5-3 defeat against Vancleave on the 8th. As for East Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Baker on the 11th.
