Soccer Game Preview: Lodi vs. Lincoln

The Lodi Flames will challenge the Lincoln Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lodi is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Lodi's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Kimball with a sharp 4-0 win. That's two games straight that the Flames have won by exactly four goals.

They hit Kimball with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Devin Briceno, Noah Solt, Daniel Lozada, and Silverio Guillermo Contreras.

Meanwhile, Lincoln had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Wolfpack out 1-0. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lodi now has a winning record of 6-5-4. As for Lincoln, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1-2.
