Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Patuxent walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

While Patuxent won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-16.

Patuxent's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, they moved to 11-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Patuxent will take on Clear Spring at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
