The Maine South Hawks will challenge the Walther Christian Academy Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Maine South's defense has only allowed 5.6 points per game this season, so Walther Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Walther Christian Academy will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Maine South extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Hawks walked away with a 19-6 win over Glenbrook North. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hawks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois flag football rankings (they are ranked third, while the Spartans are ranked 40th).

Maine South didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Emerson De La Cruz and Gabi Shaw. Shaw also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-13, which was the final score in Walther Christian Academy's tilt against Timothy Christian on Thursday.

Maine South's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Walther Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
