Basketball Recap: Fremont Takes a Loss

Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bethany Christian Bruins. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Leading Bethany Christian to victory were Ayden Falcon and Trey Caffee. Falcon shot 86% from the field en route to 16 points and eight rebounds, while Caffee posted 12 points. The last time Falcon's field goal percentage was this high was back in February of 2024.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Bethany Christian, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bethany Christian beat Fremont by a score of 62-60 on Tuesday.
