Recap: Warde Mustangs vs. Wilton Warriors
The Warde Mustangs won the last time they faced the Wilton Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Warde walked away with a 63-51 win over Wilton. The win made it back-to-back wins for Warde.
Wilton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Jarvie, who scored 13 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Jarvie grabbed two or more steals. Ryan Luchetta was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Warde's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wilton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Warde will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 234 points over their last three matches. As for Wilton, they will be playing at home against Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norwalk has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
