Baseball Recap: Teton Comes Up Short

Teton lost to Snake River back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4.

James Borg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Luke Nelson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Woolstenhulme, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Teton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Snake River, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-15 record this season.

Teton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 loss against Sugar-Salem on the 20th. As for Snake River, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against American Falls at 4:00 p.m.
