Basketball Recap: Shawnee Heights Comes Up Short

Shawnee Heights lost against De Soto back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the De Soto Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Thunderbirds have lost by exactly ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Shawnee Heights and nudges their season record down to 9-6-2. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points over those games. As for De Soto, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Coming up, Shawnee Heights will face off against Basehor-Linwood on Tuesday. As for De Soto, they will square off against West at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
