Soccer Recap: Indianola Academy Starts off Right with Win over Delta Streets Academy

Indianola Academy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Colonels who were credited with the victory. The Indianola Academy Colonels got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Delta Streets Academy Lions's one. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Indianola Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Delta Streets Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta Streets Academy and Brookhaven Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delta Streets Academy's defense better be ready for this one: Brookhaven Academy have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season.
