Mabton faced Riverside Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 win over the Crusaders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on October 7th.

The victory made it two in a row for Mabton and bumps their season record up to 6-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Walla Walla Valley Academy and 2-7 Riverside Christian. As for Riverside Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
