Football Recap: Cross Piles Up the Points Against St. John's

Cross entered their tilt with St. John on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Islanders. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Cross was led to victory by Mah'Ky Green and Tyler Harris. Green rushed for 137 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, while Harris threw for 174 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cross was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Another reason for the win was Cross' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jakobe Jones, Keyawn Wilson, and Michael Bennett, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Cross' record now sits at 6-1. As for St. John's, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
