Volleyball Recap: Haley Carroll Key Part of Team Effort in Flying Lions Win + How To Watch

Excelsior Classical Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Henderson Collegiate Pride as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Flying Lions in their matchups with the Pride: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Excelsior Classical Academy was: they took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-6, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Excelsior Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Haley Carroll, who had eight aces and four digs. That's the most aces Carroll has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Juniper Wells, who had eight kills, eight aces, and four digs.

They weren't the only good server: Excelsior Classical Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 31 aces. They are 5-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Excelsior Classical Academy's record is now 5-6. As for Henderson Collegiate, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Excelsior Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against The Hawbridge School on the 10th. As for Henderson Collegiate, they will face off against Eno River Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
