The Highlands Bluebirds will head out to challenge the Oak Hills Highlanders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Highlands has four straight victories, Oak Hills has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Kaitlyn Dixon made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Payton Brown was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Layla Zepf also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
