With a playoff win on the line, Lovejoy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the Wakeland Wolverines 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Leopards have posted since August 14th.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lovejoy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 22-25, 27-25, 22-25, 15-10.
Despite the loss, Wakeland had strong showings from Stella Sanford, who had seven digs and two aces, and Madeline Chen, who had nine digs and one assist.
