With a playoff win on the line, Lovejoy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the Wakeland Wolverines 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Leopards have posted since August 14th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lovejoy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 22-25, 27-25, 22-25, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Wakeland had strong showings from Stella Sanford, who had seven digs and two aces, and Madeline Chen, who had nine digs and one assist.

Lovejoy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-13 record this season. As for Wakeland, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 26-8.

Lovejoy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Wilson on the 6th. Wakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
