Softball Recap: Hackett Catholic Prep Comes Up Short

Hackett Catholic Prep lost to Lawton on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish lost 15-1 to the Blue Devils. The Fighting Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hackett Catholic Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Rosell, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Leah Smith also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Hackett Catholic Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lawton, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Coming up, Hackett Catholic Prep will challenge Fennville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lawton, they will face off against Gobles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season.
