Soccer Game Preview: Pflugerville vs. Austin

The Pflugerville Panthers will challenge the Austin Maroons at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Pflugerville will be strutting in after a victory while Austin will be coming in after a defeat.

Pflugerville proved they can win big on Friday (they won by five) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Rowe 2-1.

Meanwhile, Austin didn't have quite enough to beat Victoria West on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The loss put an end to Austin's undefeated start to the season.

Pflugerville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Austin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Pflugerville beat Austin by a goal when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 1-0. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Maroons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
