Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Akins). They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Austin Maroons on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-goal performance the match before.

The win made it two in a row for Akins and bumps their season record up to 5-11. As for Austin, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Akins and Austin will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the pitch. Akins will head out to face Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Austin will host them at 7:45 p.m. on March 7th.
