Softball Recap: Pana Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lincolnwood last Monday, Pana came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Auburn Trojans by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Allie Sarver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Reed, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Pana's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Auburn, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Pana will challenge Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Auburn, they will face off against Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
