Volleyball Recap: Amite Warriors vs. Independence Tigers
After flying high against St. Helena College and Career Academy last Tuesday, Amite came back down to earth. The Amite Warriors fell 3-1 to the Independence Tigers on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on October 1st.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 14-25, 25-23, 25-11.
Amite has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Independence, they moved to 5-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
