Basketball Game Preview: West Lincoln Rebels vs. Lincolnton Wolves

West Lincoln is on a 13-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Lincolnton a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the West Lincoln Rebels will get right back to it and host the Lincolnton Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Lincoln is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against East Burke on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. West Lincoln was dealt a 74-21 loss at the hands of East Burke. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.

Meanwhile, Lincolnton was beaten by Maiden 72-44 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 57th).

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for West Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-21.
