Baseball Recap: Montgomery Central Comes Up Short

Montgomery Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the Clarksville Academy Cougars. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Montgomery Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Clarksville Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coming up, Montgomery Central will be playing at home against Sycamore at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Montgomery Central has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Clarksville Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Clarksville Academy Cougars take on Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
