Basketball Recap: Fairhill Comes Up Short

Fairhill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winston School of Dallas Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-33 last Tuesday.

Winston School of Dallas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zane Purdy, who posted 18 points in addition to five assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Purdy has scored at least a third of Winston School of Dallas' points. Another player making a difference was Jj Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Fairhill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Winston School of Dallas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairhill will face off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairhill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Winston School of Dallas, they will challenge Providence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
