Basketball Recap: Lowell Piles Up the Points Against Whiting

Lowell won the last time they faced Whiting and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lowell Red Devils took their match with ease, bagging a 52-22 victory over the Whiting Oilers. The Red Devils pushed the score to 46-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Oilers had little chance of recovering from.

Lowell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Grskovich out in front who went 6-for-9 to rack up 12 points. Cooper Carey was another key player, putting up nine points.

Lowell now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Whiting, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Lowell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-55 loss against Hanover Central on the 14th. As for Whiting, they will challenge DeMotte Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
