Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Eastern Christian Homeschool's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Eastern Christian HomeSchool lost to Pungo Christian Academy back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers came out on top against the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders by a score of 43-31. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but the Trailblazers were the better team in the second half.

Eastern Christian HomeSchool has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Eastern Christian HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Bern Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Pungo Christian Academy and Faith Christian will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Faith Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.
