Baseball Recap: Minico Spartans vs. Marsh Valley Eagles
Minico proved they can win big last Friday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marsh Valley Eagles, sneaking past 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Noah Rich was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, Braxon Trenkle looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Minico is 2-1 when Trenkle allows three or fewer hits, but 4-5 otherwise.
