Baseball Game Preview: Monson Mustangs vs. South Hadley Tigers

Monson hasn't had much luck against South Hadley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mustangs will head out to challenge the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Monson was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Granby on Wednesday. The Mustangs never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, South Hadley beat Granby 9-5 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

South Hadley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Monson, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
