Basketball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Northwest Cabarrus won the last time they faced East Rowan and things went their way on Thursday too. The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans managed a 54-50 victory over the East Rowan Mustangs. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Northwest Cabarrus pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for East Rowan, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.

Northwest Cabarrus and East Rowan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Northwest Cabarrus (ranked 139th) will meet South Rowan (ranked 441st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, East Rowan will take on Central Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 174 places (154 vs. 328).
